1. CANOEING  Earned Merit Badge as youth.  Avid canoeist taking a minimum of one trip per year since 1982.  Certified instructor thru American Red Cross for Canoeing and Kayaking Moving Water.  BSA Aquatics Instructor.

2. CITIZENSHIP IN THE WORLD 25 Years of experience as engineer on 6 continents, 41 nations.  Currently, Director of Engineering Built Environments and Compliance, Americas AstraZeneca.  Help negotiate building permits and water rights in 21 nations. Earned Merit Badge as youth.  Travel regularly oversees as part of business needs.  Member of ISPE.  In my travels, I have made many friends in different countries.  Have taken Company training in understanding of how to conduct business, both professionally and non-professionally outside the USA.



3. COMMUNICATIONS Present information at corporate training and to Leadership Teams at AstraZeneca on a monthly basis.  Run staff meetings for 25 direct reports in 12 countries.  Supervise multi million, international construction projects for over 25 years. Earned Merit Badge as youth.  Member of Toastmasters International (TMI) BSA Speaker Bank, Winner of TMI District 11 Humorous Speech Contest 2013. Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) level from Toastmasters International.

5. ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE Head of AstraZeneca Global Sustainability Team.  Responsible for help submitting reports to EPA and other foreign environmental regulatory authorities, regarding air permitting, waste streams, and bio-influence. Earned Merit Badge as Youth.  Avid Outdoorsman. Member of Delaware Valley Green Building Design Committee LEED™AP Certified.  Researched and presented to AstraZeneca Senior Leadership Team projects, initiatives and goals for company strategies to reduce our impact on the Environment.

11. SWIMMING Taught swimming as part of lifeguarding duties 1984-1991 Earned merit badge as youth. Completed requirements annually for BSA Mile Swim (1981-2014).  Member of NRHS (1983-1987) and NYU (1987-1991) Competitive Swim Teams BSA Aquatics Instructor Certification.  Completed YMCA Stroke and Turn Course.
